The Community Room is located in the East Wing of the Big House and has the following activities: (Mondays) resident bingo and (Fridays) rosary. Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday we have a bus trip to Wal-Mart. Every 2nd Tuesday we have a bus trip to a restaurant of the tenant’s choice. Every 4th Tuesday we have a birthday celebration for all tenants whose birthdays are in that month.  We also have a band perform during the celebration. If you are age 62 or older, it’s time to have some fun!!!!!


This property also serves as a meal site where seniors in the Scott area may come in Monday through Friday to receive a freshly prepared, well balanced meal at noon. This is a tremendous opportunity for socializing.

Beau Maisons Estate, a CHDO project, is designated as a Tax Credit Property endorsed by the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency. The community consists of twenty five (25) rental homes which are subsidized by Section 8 Vouchers and designated for low income households comprised of a variety of multifamily renters. The beauty of this project is that it will allow for home ownership after fifteen years, from the date the community opened, to those who would otherwise be unable to gain affordable housing.

Each of the 60-units in the complex is ground level with two bedrooms and two large adaptable baths. The main attraction of this facility is the design, which is adapted to meet the needs of senior citizens with: grab bars in bathrooms, two bedrooms with large closets, a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and washer/dryer hookups. Each apartment is carpeted in the living room and bedrooms. This beautiful property is accentuated with well maintained grounds, lush flower beds, fruit trees, and a truly peaceful environment.  A large gazebo in the rear courtyard is enhanced with a BBQ grill, perfect for gatherings. Each apartment has a front porch and a covered rear patio, which are ideal for socializing.

Carencro Senior Center

The Carencro Senior Center is located in the central office and has the following activities Monday through Friday: computers, arts and crafts, bingo, art class, pokeno, exercise equipment, and classes, WII games, card games and other activities.
